The Marketing Manager position will use industry, marketing and sales knowledge to drive new growth opportunities. Specifically, this position will focus on developing a compelling marketing communication strategy to target customer and carrier growth and to further raise brand awareness.  This position will have a heavy focus on the development of the marketing department which will include carrying out various strategic initiatives. Such initiatives include but are not limited to: developing an outbound messaging infrastructure that includes customer communications and events, aligning sales campaigns and strategic lead generation support, developing company collateral, and identifying business development opportunities through marketing.  This position will require an understanding of various sales, public relations strategies and marketing techniques to identify customer targets and create strategic propositions to acquire customers. A primary focus will be on developing an effective Inbound marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Management, Research and Analytics

  • Overall management of the department with the expectation to highly contribute to the effectiveness of the company by identifying products and markets, suggesting sales strategies, and measuring results of initiatives.
  • Create an Inbound marketing strategy to drive opportunities to Strive via SEO, landing pages, blog, Facebook, various social media outlets, etc.
  • Use results from reporting and analysis to adapt and drive decisions in a way that yields sustained, measurable results.
  • Plan and lead email and push marketing using internal CRM or other efficient tools.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive cross-channel marketing calendar that ties together necessary marketing events and objectives for all departments.
  • Manage strategic lead generation and qualification efforts.
  • Create, manage, and monitor all SEO, SEM, and PPC campaigns.
  • Own the creation of presentation materials as requested by management.

Public Relations, Advertising and Brand Awareness

  • Manage content creation for all sales and company collateral, social media, public relations, and marketing events.
  • Create content regularly to grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, and creative content).
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company's goals. Provides and presents all data to executive management.
  • Collaborate with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership columns.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and competition and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitor and review competitor products/marketing activities; Established and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Design, order, and maintain branding material inventory and external customer delivery.

Desired Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing/sales in a B2B environment (the logistics field preferred)
  • Strong understanding and experience of the following: Email marketing, marketing analytics, lead generation through CRM, email automation software, consumer acquisition, conversion rate optimization, social media/branding.
  • Demonstrable Inbound marketing success.
  • A bachelor’s degree; ideally in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with ability to apply forward thinking.
  • The ability to make an immediate revenue impact within a growing company through critical, and confident thinking.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Prezi, InDesign and/or Illustrator
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills with attention to detail
  • Highly-organized, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
